To minimize the suffering caused by the birth of unwanted litters by providing affordable spay and neuter services to the community.<\/p>\n
Spay\/Neuter Your Pet (SNYP) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997 by a core group of animal welfare advocates who wanted to address the tragedy of pet overpopulation by focusing 100 percent of their energy on the prevention of unwanted litters through spaying and neutering. From its inception, SNYP has annually grown in both the scope of programs offered and the number of clients served.<\/p>\n
For more than 20 years, SNYP worked closely with local veterinary offices, creating programs through which spay neuter services were provided at reduced rates for need based clients referred by SNYP.\u00a0 Over time, as our population base increased, the need for spay neuter services outgrew this arrangement and it was time for a change.<\/p>\n
In August of 2018, SNYP was approached with an opportunity to start a low-cost spay\/neuter clinic. This was an option that allowed us to offer affordable spay\/neuter services directly to the community.\u00a0 After much research and work, SNYP opened The SNYP Spay\/Neuter Cinic at 111 N. Pacific Hwy in Talent, Oregon in January of 2019.<\/p>\n
