Wendy Diamond and Sally Mackler are featured in this segment from NBC/KOBI-5 on the feral cat issues facing Jackson County — and in fact the entire world.
According to the ASPCA, a single female cat, it not spayed, can produce 420,000 kittens over a period of 7 years. This is one of the reasons Wendy and SNYP are working hard to help ferals … and to encourage all residents to get their pets fixed.
As Sally noted in the interview, getting your cats fixed is “better for their health. There’s absolutely no reason to not get your cat fixed. By the time it’s four months old, it can reproduce, and it will reproduce — and they are prolific.”
Please visit SNYP to learn more on how you can help save lives through spay and neuter. As Wendy said: “We cannot rescue our way out of this. The only answer is to spay and neuter them.”
